이주노동자 인권교육 개선방안에 관한 고찰

Since 2000, as the number of migrant workers providing basic labor in industrial sites in our country has increased, laws and systems for them have been established. However, they are still inadequate, and human rights education for migrant workers has not yet been actively legislated. As a result, cases of human rights violations against migrant workers are frequent and the level of human rights violations is serious. Therefore, this study aims to examine the human rights and human rights education status of migrant workers with poor working conditions and suggest ways to improve human rights education. In addition, domestic and foreign documents including international human rights conventions such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of the Republic of Korea that stipulate human rights were reviewed, and the human rights status and human rights education status of migrant workers were analyzed to derive ways to improve them. As ways to improve human rights education for migrant workers, it was suggested that it is necessary to improve human rights education, strengthen human rights education for employers, and change awareness to establish fair multicultural policies. In order for migrant worker human rights education to be effective, continuous government management is required, along with changes in employers’ perceptions of migrant workers and faithful educational content.
