The Impact of Entrepreneurship Aptitude and Job Search Preparation Level of Local University Freshmen onCareer Maturity DOI http://dx.doi.org/10.62783/SHSS.7.3.4 Jaejun Lee* & Juseuk Kim** Abstract: The purpose of this study is to verify the extent to which the entrepreneurship aptitude level and job search readiness level of local university freshmen affect the career maturity of college students. To this end, a comparative analysis was conducted targeting freshmen at four-year universities in the Chungcheong region. The analysis methods were factor-by-factor mean and standard deviation analysis, correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis to analyze the influence on career maturity. The results of this study are as follows. First, the correlation analysis among entrepreneurship aptitude test, job search readiness, career maturity, and job preparation behavior showed a positive relationship. Second, the regression analysis showed that the entrepreneurship aptitude test and job search readiness level had a positive effect on career maturity. Third, it was confirmed that the self-efficacy subfactor and economic vulnerability adaptation subfactor of job search readiness level affected career maturity, and it was confirmed that the entrepreneurship aptitude level affected the career maturity of college students. This study suggests that, in order to improve the career maturity of freshmen at local universities, programs to improve self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education programs are needed as a priority.
