초록
Vibrio spp. is a bacterium widely distributed in the marine environment, causing significant damage to humans and marine life and also having a considerable impact on the aquaculture industry. In this study, we utilized CHROMagar Vibrio to ascertain the bacterial discrimination ability, thereby complementing the limitations of TCBS agar. We also devised its rapid manufacturing method by verifying whether the high-temperature agar production procedure does not affect the microbial growth characteristics on the agar. The experiment was conducted on 8 species of Vibrio spp. isolated from marine environment from 2013 to 2025. In CHROMagar Vibrio, different colony colors clearly dis- tinguished the Vibrio spp. used in the experiment. This pattern was consistent across all bacterial strains examined. Furthermore, the detection capability of the agar produced by the rapid manufacturing method was comparable to that of the agar produced by the conventional manufacturing method. Consequently, CHROMagar Vibrio has been demonstrated to facilitate more rapid and precise detection of Vibrio spp.
