Comparison of administrative punishment between HACCP prerequisites and the Food Sanitation Act

By comparing the differences administrative in punishment between HACCP prerequisites and the Food-Sanitation- Act, we tried to suggest ways to strengthen safety management of HACCP-certified companies. As a result of comparing the differences administrative punishment between HACCP prerequisites and the Food-Sanitation- Act, 10 of the 52 HACCP prerequisites (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 30, 31, 51, 52) were analyzed to be different. The Food- Sanitation-Act stipulates administrative punishment, but the HACCP prerequisite only take off points for items, so it was analyzed that the administrative punishment standard of the HACCP prerequisite is weaker than the Food-Sanitation- Act. Therefore, it is necessary to determine HACCP certification as appropriate only when corrective measures are completed for insufficient prerequisites rather than judging 85 points or more as appropriate to reduce HACCP certified companies' violations of the Food-Sanitation-Act, and apply the same punishment regulations as the Food- Sanitation-Act in case of violations.
