토픽모델링을 활용한 비서학 22년 연구동향 분석: 연구방법에 따른 비교분석

This study examined the academic trends and derived future-oriented development directions in the field of secretarial studies by analyzing articles published in the Journal of Secretarial and Office Administration from its inaugural issue in 1993 to the December 2024 issue (Vol. 33, No. 4). Topic modeling methods were applied by selecting 352 articles containing Korean abstracts published over 22 years, and collecting, preprocessing, analyzing the data for the term frequency, followed by topic modeling. The main findings from the comparative analysis of all studies (quantitative + qualitative), quantitative studies, and qualitative studies were as follows. First, the topics derived from an analysis of all studies (quantitative + qualitative) were identified as "communication between secretaries and supervisors," "secretarial major and employment," "self-efficacy in work tasks," "personal characteristics and performance evaluation," and "competency development of incumbent secretaries and legal secretary education." Second, the topics derived from these quantitative studies were "enhancement of professional secretary competencies," "changes in secretarial roles and career development," and "secretarial major and employment." Third, the topics derived from the qualitative studies were "competency development of new and incumbent secretaries," "communication between secretaries and supervisors," "career development and career transition," and "legal secretary education." "Changes in secretarial roles and career development" emerged exclusively in the quantitative studies, while "career development and career transition" appeared only in the qualitative studies. The topics commonly derived across all studies, quantitative studies, and qualitative studies were "communication between secretaries and supervisors," "secretarial major and employment," and "competency development of incumbent secretaries and legal secretary education." Although some topics were commonly identified across all study types, certain topics were unique to specific study types. Based on these findings, future research directions and implications are discussed.
