A Study on Emotional Design in Smart Furniture

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, the concept and attributes of smart furniture are undergoing profound changes. It not only performs basic functional tasks but is gradually evolving into future-oriented furniture capable of autonomously providing various information and services, blurring the boundaries between living spaces and home appliances. Against this backdrop, how to enhance users' emotional experiences through emotional design has become an important direction in the development of smart furniture. This study analyzes the emotional design of smart furniture, exploring its core elements and design principles. Methodologically, the concept of smart furniture is redefined based on various academic papers and literature, and its characteristics are analyzed. The researcher then establishes the emotional design elements of smart furniture and identifies four key factors. On this basis, an analysis model is constructed, and typical cases are selected for in-depth research. The results of this study not only summarize the development direction of emotional design in smart furniture but also provide reasonable and efficient design strategies for future smart furniture design, aiming to improve user experience and promote industry development.
