한국 과학기술정책학의 대학원 교육과정 설계:학문 제도화의 완성을 향하여

This study proposes a standardized graduate curriculum that implements the academic identity of science and technology policy studies (STPS) in Korea. As an emerging discipline, lacking clear academic identity, curriculum standardization is critical for academic institutionalization. This study adapts curriculum theory from education to develop a curriculum design model. Analysis of 18 graduate STPS departments in Korea as of March 2024 revealed structural limitations. Current curricula have been heavily biased toward content model, creating imbalances among content, objectives, and process models. There have been disparities across subjects and course types, with inconsistencies among categories. The lack of coherence in course classification is impeding the development of sequential learning plans. These findings suggest current curricula do not adequately reflect the academic identity of STPS. This study proposes a curriculum model strengthening policy-oriented characteristics of STPS. The framework classifies curricula into basic graduate subjects and specialized subjects, with specialized subjects further classified into procedural knowledge and content knowledge subjects. This model may contribute to STPS academic institutionalization and identity establishment.
