가부장환경요인의 차별사회통제과정을 통한 오프라인과 온라인폭력 영향 - 세 유형의 폭력 비교

This study explores the effect of patriarchal family as one of patriarchal environment factors on online violence and its differential social control process as mediating factors. This study examines whether its effect differs across three types of violence and compare online violence with offline violence and conducts a nationwide survey of 20s youths. Results show that the effects of patriarchal family on both online and offline violence and its mediating process through differential social control are significant. It is shown that the effects of patriarchal family on peer relationship and differential association with violent peers are significant, even though its effect through relationship with parents is statistically insignificant. In addition, it is revealed that the effects of peer relationship and differential association with violent peers on violence are directly or indirectly significant through a self-evaluation as one of role-taking variables in both online and offline violence. However, the effects of anticipated other’s reaction on violence are not significant in both online and offline violence. It is shown that the effects violence attitude on violence are not significant in offline violence, but online violence. Those effects and mediating processes are similar across three types of violence in both online and offline violence. Implications are discussed.
