AI연계 메타버스 서비스에서의 개인정보보호에 관한 연구: 전문가 대상 중요도 분석을 중심으로

As non-face-to-face services through the metaverse have rapidly increased since COVID-19 incident, services that combine virtual convergence technology linked with virtual and real spaces and various new technologies have been provided. In particular, as customized content, sentiment analysis, and automated communication are implemented in metaverse services connected to AI, more personal information is collected, analyzed, and processed in real time, it has raising the risk of personal information infringement. In response, personal information protection policies regarding AI and metaverse are being promoted domestically and internationally, but it has not presented specific standards and concerns about personal information infringement are increasing. Accordingly, comprehensive personal information protection compliance must be established at the national level to strengthen the safety of personal information protection. Therefore, this study was conducted a survey using the AHP technique and a 5-point Likert scale from February 19 to February 28, 2025, targeting experts, to determine the importance of criteria for personal information protection in the personal information processing process for compliance with personal information protection in metaverse services connected to AI derived by synthesizing existing standards. As a result, personal information protection in metaverse services connected to AI is divided into the construction process (5 stages, 28 compliance items) and the operation process (4 stages, 36 compliance items). The construction process (0.8094) was found to be much more important than the operation process (0.1950), the planning and design stage (0.3606) of the construction process was the most important stage, and ‘application of the Privacy by Design principle (0.0443)’ was evaluated as the most important compliance item. If it was strengthened personal information protection by applying priority policy tasks using the results of the importance and priority analysis for experts presented in this study, it will be able to produce effective policy results in strengthening safety even when introducing new technologies.
