초록
본 연구는 전통문화 유물의 조형적인 특성을 현대 장신구 디자인에 창의적으로 적용하여 디자인 경쟁력을 강화하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 역사적 유물을 시대별로 조형적 특성을 분석하고, 장신구 디자인에 활용할 수 있는 유물의 문양과 패턴을 추출하여 현대적 감각으로 재해석하고, 이를 디자인 프로세스에 반영하였다. 연구 과정에서는 국보인 성덕대왕신종을 대표적인 디자인 컨셉의 대상으로 선정하여, 이를 바탕으로 장신구 디자인을 진행하였다. CAD 프로그램을 활용하여 시각적 디자인을 개발하고, 렌더링 시뮬레이션을 통해 최종 디자인 개발을 수행하였다. 최종 디자인 시안을 통해 디자인의 호감도를 간략하게 파악하여 향후 디자인의 중점적인 연구과제로 제안한다. 본 연구는 전통 유물의 조형적인 특성을 현대적 디자인과 융합함으로써 독창적이고 경쟁력 있는 장신구 디자인을 창출하는 데 기여하며. 또한 전통문화를 현대적으로 재해석하여 실용적 디자인 요소로 활용하는 방안을 제시함으로써, 전통과 현대의 조화를 통해 문화적 가치를 갖춘 장신구 디자인 방향을 제시하는 데 기여한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to creatively apply the formative characteristics of traditional cultural relics to modern jewelry design to enhance design competitiveness. To this end, the formative characteristics of historical relics were analyzed by period, patterns and designs of relics that can be utilized in jewelry design were extracted, reinterpreted with a modern sensibility, and reflected in the design process. In the research process, the national treasure, the Sacred Bell of Seong deok was selected as a representative design concept target, and jewelry design was conducted based on this. The visual design was developed using a CAD program, and the final design development was performed through rendering simulation. The final design draft was used to briefly identify the favor ability of the design and suggested as a key research topic for future design. This study contributes to the creation of original and competitive jewelry designs by merging the formative characteristics of traditional relics with modern design. In addition, by suggesting a method to reinterpret traditional culture in a modern way and utilize it as a practical design element, it contributes to suggesting a direction for jewelry design with cultural value through the harmony of tradition and modernity.
