간호대학생의 사회적 책임 의식에 영향을 미치는 요인

This study aimed to identify the factors influencing social responsibility awareness among nursing students. A total of 142 fourth-year students from three universities located in U Metropolitan City, South K Province, and North K Province participated in the study. Data were collected from May 13 to 17, 2025, using structured questionnaires covering confidence in ethical decision-making, nursing professionalism, mental health, and social responsibility awareness. Data were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 with descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The mean score of social responsibility awareness was 3.71±0.45, and students who were satisfied with their major (t=5.43, p=.005) or had no volunteer experience (t=−3.11, p=.003) reported significantly higher levels. Social responsibility awareness showed a positive correlation with confidence in ethical decision-making (r=.518, p<.001) and nursing professionalism (r=.521, p<.001), and a negative correlation with mental health (r=−.220, p=.013). Regression analysis revealed that confidence in ethical decision-making (β=.454), nursing professionalism (β=.295), satisfaction with the major (β=.204), and volunteer experience (β=−.150) significantly influenced social responsibility awareness, explaining 47.3% of the variance. These findings highlight the need to develop nursing curricula that strengthen ethical decision-making and professional identity to promote social responsibility among students.
