이 연구에서는 그레고리의 『도덕학』에 진술된 결혼의 3중적 원리에 대하여 분석하고 『長老敎會婚喪禮式書』(1924)와 『朝鮮예수敎長老會憲法』(1922)에 진술된 3중적 원리와의 상호 연결점을 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구의 핵심적인 내용들을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘부부간 약속으로서의 결혼’ 논증에 관해서는 신랑신부의 자유의사, 근친결혼의 부당성, 온전한 몸과 마음, 가정을 이끌어야 할 남편의 역량, 부부간 애정에 대하여 살폈다. 둘째, ‘부부간 일부일처제의 결혼’ 논증에 관해서는 부부간의 진정한 사랑, 가정교육, 가정의 평화, 자녀 양육, 창조의 질서, 주 안에서의 결혼을 중심으로 고찰했다. 셋째, ‘부부간 평생 의무로서의 결혼’ 논증에 관해서는 부부간 한평생 종신언약(終身言約), 진실성, 사랑, 협동을 다루었다. 넷째, 본 연구자는 본고에서 천착한 논점들을 바탕으로 오늘날 한국 그리스도인들에게 이혼문제, 결혼신학, 부부신학, 그리고 가정신학 분야 연구에 대한 실천적 시사점들을 제시했다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the triple principle of marriage in Daniel S. Gregory’s Christian Ethics(1915), and it’s mutual connection with Forms of Marriage and Burial(1924) and The Constitution of the Korean Presbyterian Church(1922). The key points could be summarized as follows: Firstly, I attempted to explain ‘marriage as a promise between couples’ such as the bride and groom’s free will, the injustice of incestuous marriage, a healthy body and mind, the husband’s ability to lead the family, and the love between couples. Secondly, I concentrated on significant points for ‘a monogamous marriage between couples’ such as true love between couples, family education, family peace, child rearing, order of creation, and marriage in the Lord. Thirdly, I treated with ‘marriage as a lifelong obligation between couples’ such as lifelong covenant, marital integrity, love, and cooperation. Fourthly, I suggested the practical implications for today’s Korean Christians such as the divorce problem, marriage theology, marital theology, and home theology.
