행정학과 행정법학의 융합교육 방향에 관한 연구: 시론

In today’s increasingly complex and dynamic administrative environment, there is a growing need to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals capable of balancing legal legitimacy and administrative effectiveness. This study examines the academic relationship and current educational landscape of Public Administration and Administrative Law, with the aim of identifying directions for integrated education between these two fields. To this end, an empirical analysis was conducted on the current status of law-related courses offered in 82 Public Administration programs at universities across Korea, highlighting the need for stronger theoretical integration and addressing existing educational gaps between Public Administration and Law. The findings indicate that most Public Administration programs offer fragmented and parallel law courses, primarily focused on Administrative Law and Constitutional Law, with limited connection to public administration contexts and practical application. Based on these results, this study proposes a phased curriculum enhancement plan, including a dual-track foundational curriculum and problem-based learning (PBL)-centered interdisciplinary courses that bridge theory and practice. Furthermore, the study discusses strategies for improving the educational environment, such as faculty development, institutional support, and the introduction of micro-degree programs. This research contributes to establishing the foundation for an educational model designed to cultivate interdisciplinary public sector professionals capable of simultaneously upholding the rule of law and ensuring effective policy implementation through the complementary integration of Public Administration and Law.
