‘정치와 법’ 교과서의 수정･보완 내용 분석: 2015 개정 교육과정 시기를 중심으로

This study aims to analyze 566 cases of revisions and supplements made during the use stage of the 2015 Revised Curriculum ‘Politics and Law’ textbooks, in order to identify their trends. The analysis revealed that the frequency of revisions in ‘Politics and Law’ textbooks was higher than in other subjects, which can be interpreted as a reflection of the subject’s sensitivity to political and social changes. Revisions and supplements were concentrated in the early years of use, specifically between 2019 and 2021, with 82.7% of content-related modifications occurring during this period, indicating a high level of incompleteness in the initial editions. Content modifications were most frequently related to accuracy(50.4%), followed by up-to-dateness(23.1%), fairness(22%), and appropriateness(4.9%). These findings suggest that it is essential to consider revision trends when using the ‘Politics’ and ‘Law and Society’ textbooks under the 2022 Revised Curriculum. To this end, this study recommends three key measures: establishing continuous communication channels among teachers, developers, and publishers; ensuring teachers’ active engagement in reflecting content changes; and improving the Textbook Revision and Supplementation Online System to provide systematic and ongoing support. Such efforts would not only address errors but also contribute to the development of high-quality textbooks that effectively reflect the dynamics of a rapidly changing society.
