초록
To facilitate sustainable glocal innovation, this study investigates strategic approaches to enhancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) awareness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the logistics sector. Glocal innovation, conceptualized as integrating global sustainability frameworks with locally embedded operational practices, necessitates the internalization of ESG principles by logistics SMEs within their specific business contexts. Based on a survey of logistics professionals in Korea, the findings indicate that ESG awareness among logistics SMEs is substantially lower than that observed in conglomerates. This disparity underscores the necessity for targeted policy interventions to strengthen ESG capabilities among SMEs, particularly considering emerging global mandates such as Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions reporting. In response to these findings, the study proposes a phased policy roadmap encompassing short-term initiatives for education and awareness-raising, mid-term institutional and financial support mechanisms, and long-term regulatory and infrastructural alignment with international ESG standards. The formulation of this policy roadmap constitutes the principal contribution of the study, offering a strategic framework to empower logistics SMEs to actively engage in and contribute to glocal innovation and regional sustainability.

The formulation of this policy roadmap constitutes the principal contribution of the study, offering a strategic framework to empower logistics SMEs to actively engage in and contribute to glocal innovation and regional sustainability.
