태권도 4대 행정기관의 ESG 평가척도 개발 및 활성화 전략

This study aims to develop an ESG evaluation scale for the four major Taekwondo administrative organizations—Kukkiwon, Korea Taekwondo Association, World Taekwondo, and Taekwondo Promotion Foundation—and propose activation strategies. The findings confirm that ESG adoption in Taekwondo organizations is essential, requiring an evaluation scale based on six key factors: environmental management, governance transparency, social ethical management, labor union transparency, communication strategy management, and sports safety strategy management. The study verified the reliability and validity of this scale through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. The analysis of importance and feasibility for ESG activation identified key areas needing intensive improvement, such as strengthening environmental management policies, ensuring decision-making transparency, enhancing labor union transparency, establishing ethical management systems, and reinforcing collaboration among private Taekwondo institutions, while areas like operational information disclosure, sustainability reporting, anti-corruption systems, and community contribution activities demonstrated high feasibility and should be maintained and strengthened. Accordingly, the ESG adoption strategy is categorized into four areas: intensive improvement (e.g., environmental policy enhancement, labor union transparency, decision-making transparency), maintenance and strengthening (e.g., ethical management, anti-corruption systems, employee welfare and human rights protection), lower priority (e.g., reassessment of environmental programs), and potential overinvestment (e.g., revision of reporting and sustainability policies). This study is significant as it provides a practical framework for Taekwondo organizations to integrate ESG principles effectively and establish a sustainable management system.
