본 연구는 일본, 미국, 프랑스, 인도의 포용적 성장 기반 비즈니스 사례를 분석하여 ESG 경영의‘S(사회적 가치)’요소와 DEI(Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)의 포용성 개념을 결합한 새로운 이론적 틀을 제시하였다. 네 가지 사례 모두 사회적 약자를 대상으로 한 문제 해결형 혁신을 지향하며, 디지털 기술, 감성 디자인, AI 기반 솔루션 등을 활용하여 접근성과 포용성을 실현하였다. 사례분석 결과, 디지털 기술은 단순한 혁신 수단을 넘어 사회문화적 맥락 속에서 지속가능성과 사회적 연대를 구현하는 핵심 매개체임이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 ESG 경영의‘S’영역을 DEI와 연계함으로써 사회적 가치 창출의 학문적 지평을 확장하였고, 디지털 기술과 포용성 결합의 학문적 프레임을 제시하였다. 나아가 이러한 프레임은 향후 포용성 기반 비즈니스 모델 연구와 공공정책 수립에도 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다. 그러나 연구 대상이 일부 국가와 사례에 한정되고 정량적 검증이 미흡하다는 한계가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 다양한 산업과 문화권을 포괄한 비교 연구와 표준화된 성과지표 개발이 필요하며, 장기적 관점에서의 지속가능성 평가도 병행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 학문적으로 ESG·DEI 융합 연구의 토대를 제공하고, 실무적으로 기업의 포용성 기반 경영 전략 수립에 실질적인시사점을 제시한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes inclusive growth-based business cases from Japan, the United States, France, and India, and proposes a new theoretical framework that integrates the “S”(social value) component of ESG management with the concept of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). All four cases focus on problem-solving innovations targeting socially disadvantaged groups, utilizing digital technology, emotional design, and AI-based solutions to realize accessibility and inclusiveness. The analysis reveals that technology functions not merely as a tool for innovation but as a key medium for achieving sustainability and social solidarity within socio-cultural contexts. By linking the “S” domain of ESG management with DEI, this study expands the academic horizon of social value creation and proposes a scholarly framework for the convergence of digital technology and inclusiveness. Furthermore, this framework has potential applications in future research on inclusive business models and in the formulation of public policies. Nonetheless, the scope of the study is limited to selected countries and cases, with insufficient quantitative validation. Future research should include comparative studies encompassing various industries and cultural contexts, the development of standardized performance indicators, and long-term sustainability assessments. Academically, this study provides a foundation for ESG–DEI convergence research, while practically offering actionable insights for corporations seeking to embed inclusiveness into their management strategies.
