갈등관리를 위한 정주형 이주여성의 지역사회통합방안: 경기도 광명시 결혼이민자와 북한이탈주민의 신뢰 인식을 중심으로

This study analyzes how the perception of trust among settled migrant women influences their community integration and draws implications for policy development. Focusing on marriage migrant women and female North Korean defectors, the study examines differences in trust perceptions and integration levels. The results reveal notable disparities: North Korean defectors report lower levels of perceived trust from Koreans and weaker community integration. Migrant women’s perception of how much Koreans trust migrants is positively associated with their own integration. Migrant women with children tend to report higher integration, while a longer duration of residence correlates with lower integration. These findings suggest that community integration is not solely determined by the length of residence or cultural adaptation but is shaped through interactive processes influenced by migrants’ perceptions of acceptance and trust from the host society. Despite the growing presence of these groups, relevant policy support systems remain fragmented. Thus, institutional redesign and administrative coordination are needed to promote more integrated approaches. In particular, support for North Korean defectors should prioritize psychological stability and relationship-building over assumptions of shared ethnic identity to ensure more effective outcomes in community integration.
