환경 불확실성이 개방형 혁신 역량과 협업 혁신 성과 간의 관계에미치는 조절 효과에 대한 연구

This study, grounded in open innovation theory, examines the impact of firms’ open innovation capabilities oncollaborative innovation performance (CIP) and investigates the moderating role of environmental uncertainty (EU). We conceptualize open innovation capabilities into four dimensions: open platform capability (OPC), inboundinnovation capability (IIC), outbound modularization capability (OMC), and open governance & learning capability(OGL). Using survey data collected from 140 IT firms in South Korea, we conducted hierarchical regressionanalyses to test both direct effects and interaction effects with EU. The results show that IIC, OMC, and OGLsignificantly enhance CIP, while OPC does not exhibit a direct effect. However, when EU is taken into account,OPC demonstrates a conditional effect, becoming more influential under high uncertainty, whereas the positiveeffect of OMC weakens as uncertainty increases. By contrast, IIC and OGL maintain consistently positive effectsregardless of the level of uncertainty. These findings highlight that innovation capabilities do not operate uniformlybut rather depend on contextual conditions, with platform-based mechanisms emerging as strategically critical underuncertainty. This study underscores the importance of dynamically adjusting firms’ capability portfolios in responseto environmental conditions and provides theoretical and practical implications for managing collaborative innovationin uncertain markets.
