반려동물 유기 문제 해결을 위한 앱 콘텐츠 디자인 연구
App Content Design for Preventing Pet Abandonment

초록
본 연구는 국내 반려동물 유기 문제의 심각성과 기존 디지털 서비스의 한계를 극복하기 위해, 책임 있는 입양 문화 정착을 지원하는 앱 콘텐츠 디자인을 제안한다. 이를 위해 반려동물 유기 현황 및 정책, 주요 앱과 서비스 사례, 그리고 콘텐츠 디자인 연구 동향을 검토하고, 국내외 대표 앱을 사례 분석하여 강점과 한계를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 기존 앱은 쇼핑·헬스케어 중심의 편중, 보호소 연계 정보의 한계, 책임성·참여성 강화 기능의 부족이 확인되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 반려동물 유기 문제 해결을 위한 앱 콘텐츠 개발을 위해 책임성, 신뢰성, 참여성, 편의성, 교육성의 다섯 가지 핵심 요소를 도출하고, 이를 반영한 서비스 구조, 정보구조, 화면 설계안을 제시하였다. 제안한 앱 콘텐츠는 AR 기반 체험기능, 책임 서약, 성향 매칭, 커뮤니티·봉사 연계 등이 가능하며 사용자 행동 변화를 촉진하는 심리학적·행동경제학적 근거와 연결된다. 또한, 본 연구결과는 반려동물 산업과 펫테크 서비스의 확산 속에서 유기 예방과 책임 있는 입양 문화 확산에 기여할 수 있는 기초자료가 될 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper proposes an application content design to foster a responsible pet adoption culture, addressing the ongoing problem of pet abandonment and the limits of existing digital services in Korea. A review of abandonment statistics, policies, service trends, and prior design studies was conducted, followed by a case analysis of representative domestic and international pet apps. The analysis revealed bias towards commerce and healthcare, weak integration with shelters, and a lack of features reinforcing responsibility and participation. From these findings, five core design elements—responsibility, reliability, participation, convenience, and education—were derived and applied to the proposed service structure, information architecture, and screen designs. Key features include AR-based pre-adoption experiences, commitment pledges, personality-based matching, and community/volunteering modules, which are grounded in psychology and behavioral economics. This study provides a foundation for preventing pet abandonment and spreading a responsible adoption culture while also offering insights for the growth of the pet industry and pet-tech services.
