본 논문에서는 지식서비스 산업 내 중소기업을 대상으로 개방형 혁신(Open Innovation)을 촉진하는 요인을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 독립변수를 지식 역량, 실행 역량, 조직 역량으로 구분하고, 개방형 혁신의 다양성과 강도를 종속변수로 설정하여 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석에는 「2022년 지식서비스산업 실태조사」의 중소기업 대상 정량 데이터를 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 연구개발 인력 비중, 박사 인력 비중, 연구개발비, 보상제도 운영 여부, 고객 의견 반영 수준은 개방형 혁신의 다양성에 정(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 연구개발 인력 비중, 박사 인력 비중, 정부지원 비중, 고객 의견 반영 수준은 강도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 나타냈다. 본 논문은 고급 인적자원의 확보, 고객 중심의 조직 운영, 그리고 정부 지원을 포함한 자원의 전략적 활용이 지식서비스 중소기업의 개방형 혁신을 촉진하는 핵심 요인임을 시사하며, 혁신 전략 수립과 정책 설계에 실증적 기초자료를 제공한다.
Abstract
This study empirically examines the key drivers of open innovation in SMEs within the knowledge service industry. Independent variables were categorized into knowledge capability, execution capability, and organizational capability, while open innovation was measured through its diversity and intensity. Using data from the 2022 Knowledge Service Industry Survey targeting Korean SMEs, a multiple regression analysis was conducted. The analysis reveals that the proportion of R&D personnel, doctoral-level staff, R&D investment, performance-based compensation systems, and customer feedback integration significantly enhance innovation diversity. In addition, the proportion of R&D personnel, doctoral-level staff, government support ratio, and customer feedback integration positively influence innovation intensity. These findings highlight the importance of securing high-level human capital, building a customer-focused organizational culture, and strategically leveraging both internal and external resources—including government funding. This study contributes empirical evidence to guide innovation strategies and policy development tailored to knowledge-intensive SMEs.
