한국적 맥락 속 지역혁신시스템 성과에 대한 국가과학기술혁신역량의 기여에 관한 연구: 출연(연) 지역조직을 중심으로

This study examines whether national science and technology innovation capacity contributes to performance of regional innovation systems and what conditions are necessary for this, focusing on non-metropolitan regional organizations of government-funded research institutes, from the perspective that alternatives are needed to resolve the gap in innovation capacity between metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas in Korea. As a result of panel analysis conducted at the metropolitan autonomous body level, it was confirmed that the budget of government-funded research institute regional organizations had a positive effect on the number and amount of technology royalties collected and the number of commercialization, and that the regular workforce of government-funded research institute regional organizations had a positive effect on the number of commercialization. In addition, all moderator variables showed no moderating effect. Accordingly, it was confirmed that in Korea’s non-metropolitan regional innovation system, knowledge production by institutions representing national science and technology innovation capacity among the basic elements and mechanisms of regional innovation systems plays the most important role in the interactive learning of regional enterprises.
