공급사슬 민첩성과 강건성은 회복탄력성의 구성요소인가?

This study empirically investigates the relationships among supply chain resilience, robustness, and agility, and analyzes their differential impacts on firm performance, including financial and operational outcomes. Prior literature has lacked consensus on whether supply chain resilience should be considered an overarching construct encompassing robustness and agility, or whether these capabilities function as independent strategic resources. To address this debate, a survey of manufacturing firms in Korea was conducted, and factor analysis and regression analysis were applied to compare the explanatory power of alternative models. The results indicate that resilience does not merely subsume robustness and agility but functions as an independent capability alongside them. Specifically, agility was found to be the most influential factor for financial performance, while robustness played the most significant role in operational performance, highlighting the differentiated contributions of these capabilities. Moreover, although conceptual overlaps among the three constructs were observed in discriminant validity tests, no multicollinearity issues were detected, suggesting that while they share measurement similarities, they maintain functional distinctiveness in explaining performance. This study contributes to advancing theoretical discussions on supply chain capabilities and provides practical implications by emphasizing the need for firms to selectively invest in robustness or agility depending on their targeted performance outcomes.
