74호, 519~536쪽

초록

This study, a practical study of ESG-based community engagement activities on Japanese language and literature students, aims to explore options to utilize the program. A questionnaire prior to the launch of this study, was performed to ensure that students had neither been exposed nor educated on ESG program. Studies have shown that students who received ESG education achieved higher scores on the importance and awareness of ESG and social issues compared to those who did not. This result suggests the need for systematic pre-activation training. To be continued the activities, relevant classes and training should be mandatory before engaging in ESG activities. Also, a balanced and diverse approach to ESG education is needed, and ESG integration with other academic disciplines based on students' majors is also necessary. Furthermore, the focus should be on expanding beyond mere theoretical education to foster students' ability to solve problems and apply them in real-world settings. Considering the recent proliferation of new liberal arts and extracurricular programs on ESG, it is significantly important to have an understanding of ESG and explore social issues based on students' majors. This requires an understanding that ESG is a daily occurrence, and an integrated approach that fosters both education and practice is essential. It is crucial to design and teach an ESG curriculum model that focuses on practice and activity, enabling students to grasp the importance of social responsibility and sustainability.
