창업지원정책의 시간적 효과 분석: 1인 창조기업의 손익분기점 도달기간을 중심으로

This study analyzes the temporal effects of government start-up support policies on the early performance of new firms. Specifically, it examines the causal impact of government support on the time required for start-ups to reach the Break-even Point (BEP), which reflects the speed of market stabilization. Using nationally representative data from the Survey on One-person Creative Enterprises, the study applies the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) method to address potential endogeneity in government support participation. The empirical results indicate that government-supported firms reach their BEP approximately three months earlier on average than non-supported firms, and this effect is statistically significant at the 5% level. These findings suggest that comprehensive government support-encompassing financial, educational, and infrastructural assistance-contributes not only to higher survival rates but also to accelerating managerial stabilization and market entry during the early stages of business development. By evaluating start-up policy effectiveness from a temporal rather than quantitative perspective, this study provides empirical evidence for designing future start-up policies that emphasize speed-based (start-up velocity) performance outcomes.
