텍스트마이닝을 이용한 글로벌 농업인재 양성프로그램 참여자 경험 분석

이 연구는 농촌진흥청 KOPIA 사업의 글로벌 농업인재 양성 프로그램 참여자의 체험수기를 텍스트마이닝 기법을 이용하여 경험특성의 패턴을 도출하였다. 최근 UN의 지속가능발전목표(SDGs) 달성을 위해 농업분야의 인재양성이 중요한 상황에서 KOPIA 사업은 한국의 농업기술을 적용한 개발도상국의 농업 생산성, 농업인의 소득 증대를 도모하고 있다. 또한 농업인재 양성 프로그램을 통해 참여자에게 국제적 경험 제공과 글로벌 역량 형성을 제공하고 있다. 분석대상은 2014년~2018년에 참여한 KOPIA 연구원･연구생의 체험수기 26편을 텍스트마이닝을 통한 의미연결망 분석을 하였다. 분석도구는 Python의 자연어 처리 패키지와 Gephi를 이용하였고, 체험수기에서 의미 없는 단어를 제거한 후 빈도가 높은 50개의 핵심 단어를 추출하였다. 분석결과, 주요 키워드는 농업기술, 현지, 사람 등이며, 체험수기에서 참여자의 다양한 경험과 소감이 파악되었다. 참여자의 체험수기를 통한 경험은 3개 군집인데, 현지에서 경험한 문화교류와 현지 적응 특성을 나타내는 현지생활경험, 주요 업무활동을 반영한 현지활동경험, 한국의 ODA로 수행되는 KOPIA 프로그램의 개발협력경험으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 주요 시사점은 새로운 환경에 대한 적응과 도전 과정에 좀 더 도움을 줄 수 있는 사전 교육의 강화, 연구원의 활동성과 제고를 위한 전문 교육의 필요, 개발협력 사업 현장에서 필요한 역량이었다. 따라서 향후 프로그램의 효과적인 운영과 관리, 전략적인 개선 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study investigates the experiential characteristics of participants in the Global Agricultural Talent Development Program under RDA (Rural Development Administration)’s KOPIA(Korea Partnership for Innovation of Agriculture) project, utilizing text mining and semantic network analysis. As agricultural talent development is critical to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the KOPIA project plays a significant role in enhancing agricultural productivity and farmers’ incomes in developing countries by applying Korean agricultural technologies. The program also provides participants with international experience and fosters the development of global competencies. A total of 26 experiential essays written by KOPIA researchers from 2014 to 2018 were analyzed using Python-based natural language processing tools and Gephi for semantic network analysis. After filtering out irrelevant words, the top 50 high- frequency keywords were extracted, with “agricultural technology,” “local,” and “people” emerging as the primary themes. The analysis identified three major experience clusters: (1) local living experience, reflecting cultural exchange and adaptation; (2) field activity experience, focusing on key tasks and responsibilities; and (3) development cooperation experience, associated with Korea’s ODA(Official Development Assistance) efforts. The results highlight the need for enhanced pre-departure training, specialized professional education, and the development of key competencies necessary for working in international development contexts. These findings suggest that future improvements in program management and strategic development are essential for optimizing outcomes.
