지역 혁신과 경로창출을 통한 회복탄력적 문화기반 창업 생태계 형성: 제주 사례 연구

This study explores the process of implementing regional resilient innovationby integrating the perspectives of the Regional Innovation System (RIS) and Path Creation. Focusing on Jeju’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, this research conducts qualitative case studies of three representative firms—JeClean, Haenyeo’s Kitchen, and Dazayo. The findings reveal that despite being a peripheral region with limited resources, Jeju has developed a sustainable innovation structure through resource bricolage, institutional experimentation, and local identity embedding. JeClean transformed marine waste into industrial resources; Haenyeo’s Kitchen combined local culture and women’s entrepreneurship to create a social-value-driven business model; and Dazayo regenerated abandoned spaces into community-based tourism assets. Collectively, these cases demonstrate Jeju’s evolution toward adaptive peripheral innovation, characterized by self-learning, institutional flexibility, and cross-sectoral collaboration. This study contributes to theory by linking RIS and Path Creation with regional resilience, and to practice by highlighting how peripheral regions can convert structural constraints into opportunities for sustainable innovation.
