위치정보법의 이해와 관련 판례 검토

In this paper, the author reviews the contents of the Location Information Act, which is based on the harmony of the rights and interests of the location information subject and the guarantee of private use, and two related precedents. In particular, after defining the location information and personal location information stipulated in the Location Information Act, I tried to explain the difference between them and personal information. Influenced by advanced information and communication technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, and mobile, innovative changes are taking place as they converge across our economy and society. Location information, which refers to information on mobile objects or places where an individual exists or existed at a specific time, has become meaningful information in various fields with the development of the information knowledge industry. However, it should not be overlooked here is the matter related to the invasion of privacy of the data subject. The development of new technologies provides convenience in human life, but on the contrary, it is also facing the possibility of accompanying side effects on humans. Along with the continuous development of mobile communication technology and positioning technology, the consideration is to prepare countermeasures against the leakage or abuse of personal location information. It is a task left for us to seek industrial use while eliminating the side effects of the use of location information.
