본 연구는 텍스트 마이닝과 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 국내 대학의 사회적 책임(USR) 관련 연구의 동향을 분석하고 그 지적 구조를 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 2004년부터 2025년까지 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에 등재된 논문 116편을 대상으로 키워드 빈도 분석, 중심성 분석, 군집 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, USR 연구의 핵심 키워드로 ‘대학생’, ‘교육’, ‘역량’이 높은 중심성을 보였으며, 이는 연구의 초점이 조직의 단순한 사회공헌 활동에서 교육과정을 통한 학생의 역량 함양과 교육적 성과로 확장되고 있음을 시사한다. 주제 군집 분석에서는 ‘정책 수립 및 운영 평가’, ‘교육 효과 및 학생 역량’, ‘관점 및 경험의 질적 탐구’, ‘실천적 책무성’의 4개 영역이 도출되어 연구 주제가 실용적·실증적 단계로 분화되었음을 확인하였다. 시기별로는 2020년대 이후 ESG 경영 및 SDGs 등 글로벌 의제와 맞물려 연구가 폭발적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 연구가 개별 프로그램의 효과 검증을 넘어 대학 거버넌스 혁신과 지역사회와의 실질적 연계 모델 구축으로 나아가야 함을 제언한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the research trends on University Social Responsibility (USR) in Korea and identifies its intellectual structure using network text analysis. It examines 116 academic papers published in KCI journals from 2004 to 2025, employing keyword frequency, centrality, and cluster analysis techniques. The results reveal that keywords such as ‘Student,’ ‘Education,’ and ‘Competency’ demonstrate high centrality, indicating a paradigm shift in USR discourse from organizational contributions to educational outcomes and student competency development. Moreover, cluster analysis identifies four distinct research themes: ‘Policy & Evaluation,’ ‘Student Competency,’ ‘Qualitative Inquiry,’ and ‘Practical Accountability,’ confirming that research topics have evolved into practical and empirical stages. Furthermore, the study observes an exponential growth in research volume since the 2020s, driven by global agendas such as ESG management and SDGs. This study’s findings highlight the need for future research to expand beyond program-level effectiveness verification and focus on university governance innovation and substantial regional engagement models.
