이 연구는 아프리카 MZ세대가 겪는 디지털 네이티브 정체성, 급변하는 지정학적 환경, 미·중 무역 갈등 상황 그리고 경제적 잠재력을 바탕으로 그들의 새로운 세계관과 미래를 탐색한다. MZ세대들은 SNS를 통한 ‘선’을 거부하는 분노와 반정부 시위(Stop PrésidenceForcée) 등을 주도하며 기득권 세력의 전체주의와 권위주의 정치 질서에 도전하고 있다. MZ세대는 디지털 연결성을 통해 투명성, 경제·사회적 회복력, 그리고 민족주의에 기반한 자국 중심의 범아프리카주의(Panafricanism) 3.0을 외치면서 정치·사회·교육 변혁의 주체로 부상한다. 또한, 이들은 AfCFTA(African Continental Free Trade Area, 아프리카 대륙 자유무역 지대)를 활용하여 경제의 기초가 신생 시장 동력을 이끌 핵심 소비층이자 노동력의 중심이 되고 있다. MZ세대는 국가의 미래와 사회적 가치, 경제적 소비를 중시하는 곳의 핵심에 서 있다. 선교·신학적 관점에서는 이들이 중시하는 ‘영적 경험’에 대한 갈망과 전통적 종교를 기초로 하는 영성 배경을 이해하는 것은 필수적이다. MZ세대를 이해하고, “디지털 상황화(Digital Contextualization)”를 통한 수평적 소통으로 가치체계를 구축하도록 강조한다. 궁극적으로 이들은 기술적 통찰력을 활용하고 동반관계를 강화한다. 오늘의 MZ세대에게 필요한 것은 창조주를 기억하고 경외하는 삶과 성경적 가치를 구현하도록 하여 아프리카의 미래를 재정립하는 주역이 되도록 이끄는 것이다.
Abstract
This study explores the new worldview and future of Africa’s M.Z.(Millennial Generation) generation based on their digital native identity, rapidly changing geopolitical environment, the USChina trade conflict, and their economic potential. The M.Z. generation is challenging the totalitarianism and authoritarian political order of the ruling elite by leading anger rejecting ‘good’ through social media and anti-government protests (Stop Présidence Forcée). Through digital connectivity, Generation M.Z. champions transparency, economic and social resilience, and a nationalismbased, country-centric Panafricanism 3.0, emerging as agents of political, social, and educational transformation. Furthermore, they are becoming the core consumer base and workforce driving the emerging market momentum by leveraging the AfCFTA(African Continental Free Trade Area). The M.Z. generation stands at the heart of places prioritizing the nation’s future, social values, and economic consumption. From a missiological and theological perspective, understanding their longing for ‘spiritual experience’ and their spiritual background rooted in traditional religion is essential. Emphasis is placed on understanding Generation M.Z. and building value systems through horizontal communication via “Digital Contextualization.” Ultimately, they leverage technological insight and strengthen partnerships. What today's M.Z. generation needs is to be guided toward becoming key players in redefining Africa's future by living lives that remember and revere the Creator and embody biblical values.
