초록
본 연구는 글로벌 무역 환경 변화 속에서 전과정평가(Life Cycle Assessment, LCA)가 창업 의사결정에서 수행할 수 있는 역할을 분석한다. 기존 창업 연구는 주로 창업의 동기, 의도, 성공 요인, 정책 효과에 초점을 두어 왔으나, 최근 국제 시장에서 환경 성과가 거래 조건으로 작동하는 변화는 충분히 반영되지 못 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 전과정평가를 환경 규제 대응을 위한 사후적 관리 수단이 아닌, 창업 단계에서 사업 구조를 설계하고 대안을 선택하는 의사결정 도구로 재조명하였다. 국제표준화기구(ISO)의 전과정평가 개념과 글로벌 무역 규제, 순환경제 및 디지털 제품여권(Digital Product Passport, DPP) 제도 흐름을 통해 전 생애주기 기반 환경 정보의 중요성을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 전과정적 사고를 창업 의사결정에 통합하는 개념적 프레임을 제시함으로써, 창업 과정을 글로벌 공급망과 산업 생태계 변화 속에서 이해해야 할 구조적 과정으로 확장하며, 창업 교육과 정책에 대한 시사점을 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
This study examines the role of Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) as a decision-making tool for entrepreneurs in changing global trade environments. While entrepreneurship research has focused on motivation, intention, success factors, and policy effects, recent shifts in international markets—where environmental performance functions as a condition of trade—remain insufficiently reflected. Accordingly, this study repositions LCA from a post hoc compliance measure to a decision-support tool applicable at the early stages of entrepreneurship, based on the ISO framework and global trends such as circular economy policies and the Digital Product Passport (DPP). By integrating life cycle thinking into entrepreneurial decision-making, this study extends entrepreneurship research toward a structural perspective shaped by global supply chains and suggests implications for entrepreneurship education and policy.
